Moon Petal

Moon petal is a wildflower that grows along the coasts and in marshland — it is common in the Alabasca marshes and grows thick throughout Aristonia's Canal District. It is not rare, and any competent alchemist knows it on sight.

Its refined extract is a potent contact sedative: it numbs the senses and immobilizes within seconds of touching bare skin. Smoked, it delivers a heavy, near-catatonic high that lasts some four to six hours and leaves the body numb. In every preparation known to the alchemists' trade it is non-lethal — no concentration has been found that will kill on its own.

The party bought a refined vial from a Guild District alchemist and worked it into a still more concentrated ungent — the sort that can be smeared on a blade, an arrow, or a glove. A single touch of it was enough to drop the Fixer into sleep in the middle of a fight.
